RTL Spendenmarathon

ONE MILLION EURO FOR CHILDREN IN NEED

PARTNER OF “STIFTUNG RTL – WIR HELFEN KINDERN E. V.”

Success is only achieved through collaboration! This also applies when you perform acts of kindness for others. True to its corporate motto „Menschen brauchen Menschen“ („People need people“), Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) participated in the RTL Spendenmarathon (RTL telethon) for the second time. As a partner of the “Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern e. V.” (“RTL Foundation – We help children”), the family-owned company was again involved this year with its own campaign.

With great success: The joint campaign of Germany’s largest independent financial consultancy and the non-profit organisation “Menschen brauchen Menschen e. V.” (MbM e. V.) raised 500,000 euros to support the flood relief and sponsorship projects for needy or socially disadvantaged children and juveniles.

A SPECIAL SIGN OF HELP

A special sign of help came towards the end of the fundraising marathon from the Schumacher family and their “Keep Fighting Foundation”, who without further ado increased the amount raised to date to one million euros. The additional amount will be used specifically for flood relief projects.

“We have not forgotten the people in the flooded areas.

Out of solidarity with the Pohl family, my family is also participating in Deutsche Vermögensberatung’s campaign at the RTL telethon. We hope this will help many affected people.“

Mick Schumacher, Brand Ambassador of Deutsche Vermögensberatung

Brand Ambassador of Deutsche Vermögensberatung

The team of Deutsche Vermögensberatung consisted of around 100 sports-mad investment advisors who got involved for this good cause while complying with the applicable corona protection measures. This time on four different sports equipment and five locations: at RTL in Cologne, at the company headquarters in Frankfurt and at the company’s vocational training centres in Munich, Düsseldorf and Herrenberg.

Many of Deutsche Vermögensberatung’s brand ambassadors also took part in the joint campaign: Olympic medallists Fabian Hambüchen and Hannes Ocik, among others, were also on the sports equipment to collect donations for children in need. Together they supported the extreme athlete Joey Kelly in his 24-hour challenge.

“I am more than proud that this year, together with our investment advisors, the Schumacher family and ‘Menschen brauchen Menschen e. V.’, we have achieved a record donation! Helping others, especially in difficult times, cannot be taken for granted. It makes me more than happy that we can do our part to support people in need.“

Andreas Pohl, Chairman of the Board of Deutsche Vermögensberatung

“It’s just a great feeling when you know what you’re sweating for on the sports equipment. I am happy to be a part of the DVAG team again and it is very dear to my heart to support children in need.“

Brand ambassador Fabian Hambüchen

“THE RECORD DONATION SUM OF ONE MILLION EUROS WILL BENEFIT VARIOUS PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES FOR THE PROMOTION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE.”

THE NON-PROFIT ASSOCIATION “MENSCHEN BRAUCHEN MENSCHEN E. V.”

The non-profit association “Menschen brauchen Menschen e. V.” (People need People), which is significantly supported by Deutsche Vermögensberatung, has been working closely with the “Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern e. V.” (RTL Foundation – We help children) as a partner since 2020.

It particularly commits to the social participation and educational opportunities of economically and socially disadvantaged children and young people. On the occasion of this year’s 26th RTL Spendenmarathon, the Frankfurt-based family business and the association once again joined forces with a fundraising campaign to help children in need.

In the summer, the association and DVAG already collected donations for the victims of the flood disaster and supported projects of the RTL Foundation for the reconstruction of day-care centres to help affected families on site.

INTERVIEW WITH NATHALIE AND ANNABELL POHL

In an interview with founding members Nathalie Pohl and Annabell Pohl as well as with the chairman Christopher Sitte, the current projects of the association “Menschen brauchen Menschen e.V.” were presented.

Nathalie Pohl is currently involved in a project with the DLRG, giving swimming courses vouchers to socially disadvantaged children. Annabell Pohl presented the current educational projects with the *“Tafel” and announced a project for 2022 to promote equal opportunities for girls and women.

Nathalie Pohl, Annabell Pohl and Christopher Sitte also showed full athletic commitment and opened the donation marathon with the first round on the fitness machines.
